The City of Berea received a planning grant from NOACA's Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI) Program to study multiple modes of transportation and how they can be improved in downtown Berea. The purpose of the study is to provide a data-driven process to identify what transportation improvements are needed for the continued growth of Berea’s downtown area so that it can continue to function as both the daily center of the community for residents and students as well as a regional destination for Northeast Ohioans.
The study was completed in 2024 and a copy can be found below. The City will determine which recommended improvements will be implemented and when based on multiple factors, including coordination with other projects, potential impacts, and funding availability. The first group of improvements will be implemented with the Front Street Resurfacing project in 2025.
