Berea Recreation Center
The City of Berea’s Department of Recreation is a multifaceted organization geared toward giving all of our community members and neighbors the opportunity to remain active and healthy no matter what stage of life you are in.
We pride ourselves on providing high-quality services for a wide range of community needs. Our Recreation Center is a 32,000 sq. ft. facility with pool, sauna, two weight rooms, cardio equipment, fitness studios, basketball courts, indoor track and more.

BEREA RESIDENT
Residents: Are defined as people who LIVE in the city of Berea.
A valid driver’s license or State ID and two current proofs of residency are required by any individual over the age of 18 when applying for or renewing a membership. Items accepted as proofs of residency include: utility bills, credit card bills and bank statements that are mailed in your name to your Berea address.
WORK IN BEREA
Works in Berea: This membership is available for employees of a Berea establishment. The employee must show a valid driver’s license or State ID and CURRENT pay stub that shows City of Berea taxes are deducted.
BEREA NEIGHBORS
Berea Neighbors: This membership is available to residents of our neighboring communities, including Brook Park, Middleburg Heights, Columbia Station, Olmstead Falls, Olmstead Township and Strongsville. A valid drivers’ license or State ID and two current proofs of residency.
NON-RESIDENT
Non-resident: A valid driver’s license or State ID is required at the time of initial membership.
Family - A “family” is defined as up to four directly related individuals (2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children or 1 adult and 1 child) who reside in the same dwelling. Children are considered anyone under age 18. If there is more than one family residing in a single dwelling, they must have separate memberships. ALL family members must be registered at the same time to receive the discounted family rate. To qualify as a “family” the relations must be in the first degree of consanguinity or marriage. A child within the legal custody of an adult will be considered in the “family” for membership purposes upon presentation of a valid judicial entry establishing custody or guardianship.
Proof of Age – A birth certificate, drivers license or college ID may be required to establish age.
Annual membership rates are valid one year from the date of purchase.
