Dinner to Your Door

Dinner to your Door is a program that delivers nutritious meals to the homes of elderly, disabled or shut-in residents in Berea, Brook Park or Middleburg Heights. These well-balanced meals include a protein, starch, vegetable, fruit cup and a dessert. Each meal is freshly prepared by the Grindstone Taphouse in Berea and costs $7.00 a piece.

Delivery

Meals can be ordered for only one day of the week or for as many days of the week as the resident prefers.  Our caterer makes seven different meals each week.

Meals are delivered to the home Monday-Friday between 1:30-3:30 p.m. Volunteers can knock on your door and hand you the meal or you can leave a cooler and ice pack out so the volunteer can safely store your dinner. During the warmer months, your cooler MUST have an icepack for us to safely leave your meal.

If a resident orders seven days of meals, Dinner to Your Door will deliver on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The Friday delivery will include a meal for Saturday and Sunday.

The calendar of meals to choose from is below.  The dinners include a wide variety such as pork kabobs, breaded or roasted chicken, meatloaf, roast beef, breaded fish filets, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parmesan, pasta and much more.

Payment

An invoice will be mailed at the end of each month and may be paid by check or money order made out to BCDC (Berea Community Development Corporation). When you receive the application (see below for printable version), make sure that you fill it out completely including the emergency contact. You can mail the application to BCDC at 535 Wyleswood Drive, Berea, OH 44017 or email to bco@cityofberea.org
