The Splash Pad at McKelvey Park is open for the 2022 Season!
Named for Dorothy Marks McKelvey, the city's and Baldwin Wallace University's historian, McKelvey Park had originally been dedicated on Sept. 27, 1985. After a major reconstruction, thirty years later to the date McKelvey Park was rededicated on September 27, 2015.
McKelvey Park features a lighted fountain, which can double as a splash pad for children, a pergola, and more green space with seven imperial honey locust trees. A bell that originally hung in the former City Hall at the corner of East Bridge and Seminary has been reinstalled at the park.
