Berea has pursued a focused program of targeted development. The Downtown Triangle area, Front Street, and other retail areas, as well as the Rocco J. Colonna Industrial Park will continue to improve and expand, providing opportunities for businesses to locate here. The Rocco J. Colonna Industrial Park along the west side offers many opportunities for custom construction and larger manufacturing or business development. 

Downtown Area:

The Triangle offers a unique retail opportunity. Many established shops, banks, and restaurants already provide a reason to be located downtown. The Commons has some excellent retail frontage supported by many professional offices. Front Street, which extends from the Triangle north to Bagley Road has retail stores and offices including a bakery, clock shop, financial services, sandwich shops, coffee house, pizza shops, gift boutiques, dry cleaners, florist, physicians and automotive service. Parking is free and available on the street or in city lots.

Parkway Shoppes:

Located across the Rocky River from the Downtown Triangle, River Park Center is anchored by a Giant Eagle Supermarket. Also in the center is a coffee house, ice cream shop, hair salons, gift boutique and jewelry store. The east side of Park Street houses restaurants, dance studio, paint & wallpaper store and more professional offices. 

West Valley Plaza:

On Berea's west side along Bagley road is West Valley Plaza. Businesses include; restaurants, banks, dry cleaners, travel agency, video store, barber and beauty shops, automotive parts and an electronics store. The Jet Port Plaza office building adjoins the parking lot. 

Berea Plaza:

Located also on Berea's west side across Bagley road from West Valley Plaza. The plaza contains a video store, restaurants, party center, bank, sandwich shops and financial services. Also nearby is Williamsport Plaza a professional office complex with a license bureau, real estate offices and more. 

North End:

The North End is the most convenient to the airport. The north end is also the site of several light manufacturing and warehousing plants. Retail businesses include restaurants, hair salons, video store, recreation center, automotive parts and services, and other service oriented businesses. 

Rocco J. Colonna Industrial Park:

The newest area to be developed in Berea is on the west edge of town. It is served by the newly reconstructed and widen Bagley road railroad underpass. The Industrial Park is home to many light manufacturing plants specializing in metal, plastic and paper products for a variety of industries. The industrial park's access to interstate highways and major automotive manufacturers makes it an ideal place for parts manufacturers. Joining the professional offices and service businesses already in place, restaurants and other non-manufacturing businesses are beginning to build and relocate here now to take advantage of the ample work force available.
