Who is eligible to ride?
Any Senior Citizen (age 60 and over) and any Disabled Citizen residing in the City of Berea is eligible for transportation by the Senior Wheels vehicles. Disabled Citizens may be asked for medical evidence to establish eligibility to participate in Senior Wheels.
To Reserve Transportation
All passengers must register with Senior Wheels by calling (440) 826-0800. Reservations and cancellations must be made by calling before noon at least one day before your requested trip. Unfortunately, trips cannot be scheduled for the same day the trip is requested. Senior Wheels hours of operation are 8 am to 3 pm and there cannot be a return trip at this time. When making a reservation, please schedule your pick-up time 30 to 45 minutes before your actual appointment, to ensure that you get to your appointment on time. Please be ready 5-7 minutes before your scheduled pick up time. Each Senior Wheels vehicle is equipped with wheelchair lift. All wheelchairs must be measured by Senior Wheels staff to ensure they fit properly in the Senior Wheels vehicles. Senior Wheels is a door-to-door service. You will be picked up at the location you were dropped off, unless other arrangements have been made.
There is a mandatory fee to ride with Senior Wheels. This fee ranges from $1 to $5 each way. The fee helps defray the cost of gasoline and maintenance of the Senior Wheels vehicles. Failure to pay the mandatory fee may result in denial of future transportation. Pre-paid tickets are available to purchase for future transportation.

However, there may be occasions when your desired transportation cannot be accommodated. Senior Wheels can only take you to one appointment per trip.
Due to several factors, Senior Wheels vehicles can fall behind schedule, so we ask that you please be patient should we run late for a particular pick-up or drop-off. When shopping, please remember that drivers are not responsible for the loading or unloading of purchases. Due to space limitations on the Senior Wheels vehicles, it is recommended that riders limit their purchases to a reasonable amount.
Eating and drinking is not permitted on Senior Wheels vehicles.
Senior Wheels, the City of Berea, or any City of Berea employee may refuse transport of riders who do not meet any of the requirements or who pose a possible threat or in any way jeopardize the safety of other riders or the driver.
