How to apply for a job with the City of Berea Full Time, Part Time and Temporary Employment
Applications may be obtained at Berea City Hall, Recreation Center or downloaded online. Completed applications should be returned to:

Kenneth Adams
Personnel Administrator
11 Berea Commons
Berea, Ohio 44017

Applications are kept on file for six (6) months. Applicants are responsible for notifying the Personnel Administrator of any changes in their address and/or telephone number.

You may attach a resume to your application, however, a resume, alone, is insufficient. Do not state your age, race, color or religion anywhere on the application and/or resume.

When a full time, non-management position becomes available, notice may be given to employees of the City of Berea. Existing employees are given advance notice in the event they wish to apply to transfer. If a suitable candidate is not found internally, the Department Director will ask the Personnel Administrator for a list of candidates who have applied for a similar position during the preceding six months. If additional candidates are desired, a notice will be posted on the City’s web site, on cable television, and on the City Hall lobby bulletin board. The Department Director may also request that the position be advertised in additional outlets.

Occasionally, the City of Berea has a need for temporary help — especially in the Service and Recreation Departments. These positions are generally of short duration, lasting no more than three or four months.
