Residential Leaf Pickup
RESIDENTIAL LEAF COLLECTION SCHEDULE – 2016
Leaves must be ready for collection on the FIRST DAY of the scheduled collection week.
We will make ONE PASS on each street per collection week.
The leafer may pick up in your area earlier than the scheduled dates. Don't worry. They WILL RETURN on the scheduled collection dates.
Pile your leaves not more than 5 ft. from the roadway.
Do not place your leaves in the street. Leaves placed in the street violate our storm water management ordinances. They also contribute to residential flooding.
Branches, tree limbs, metal, rocks, firewood, or anything else that will cause damage to the leaf collection equipment must be separate from your leaf pile. Otherwise we are unable to pick-up your leaves.
DO NOT pile leaves on dead end streets or on other non-accessible areas. Leaves will not be collected! We cannot pick up leaves in these areas.
DO NOT stack leaves around fire hydrants.
If you are concerned about damage to your tree lawn, simply bag the leaves in brown yard waste bags or in marked yard waste containers. They will be picked up on Friday, your regular collection day. The City is not responsible to damage to your tree lawn.
The last yard waste pickup by Republic is November 26, 2016 for yard and leaf waste. We do not collect leaves in the spring.
While exact pick up dates cannot be scheduled, the following general areas will be covered for leaf collections SOMETIME during the weeks indicated. Questions please call the Service Garage at 440-826-5853.
