Active Senior Network
Mission Statement
Our goal is to provide senior citizens with activities and programs that will increase their daily activity and social levels.
Special events and activities are planned year round for Berea's seniors. Participate in Bus Trips, Wii bowling , luncheons, corn hole and much more. Join us in the Active Senior Network room, located at the Berea Recreation Center and enjoy the many amenities that are provided for you.

Active Senior Network Room
The Active Senior Network is a newly renovated room at the Berea Recreation Center for senior citizens age 60 years or older. The room has a beautiful wood floor, couches, chairs, a 61-inch TV, fireplace, piano, tables, kitchen and computers. The room is used for regular scheduled senior programs but is open to all seniors to use at their leisure for reading, watching TV, playing cards, playing the Wii, assembling puzzles, working on the computers, or so much more!
Active Senior Membership
The Active Senior Network Room is accessible only with your membership card. You could pick up a FREE card at the Recreation Center, Monday-Friday from 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
Programs
Bus Trip Registration Pre-registration and payment is required before every bus trip. Check must be made payable to The City of Berea and payment must be mailed to:

To register for an upcoming bus trip please call the Bus Trip Hotline at (440) 891-3316 on the specific registration date for the bus trip. * You may only register 2 people when you call the Hotline.

Policies For Cancellation of Bus Trips
If you have already paid for a bus trip and decide to cancel your reservation, you must do so at least one week prior to the scheduled bus trip in order to receive a credit. You will not be reimbursed for the trip but will receive a credit that can be applied toward the next bus trip. This credit is valid only for one year from the date of the cancellation. If the next bus trip you attend costs less than what you previously paid, you will NOT be reimbursed the difference.

Monthly Luncheons at St. Paul Lutheran Church
Luncheons are help the 2nd Tuesday of every month at noon located at St Paul Lutheran Church (276 E. Bagley Rd., Berea)
The cost of luncheons are $5 per person.
Senior Servies: Grass Cutting, Leaf Raking, Snow Removal
Berea is one of the few communities that continues to offer grass cutting, leaf raking and snow removal services. These programs are available to income-eligible senior and disabled residents who meet all qualifications. You must:
- Be a senior citizen (60 yrs or older) or disabled
- Own and occupy the home in Berea
- Make $28,000 a year or less
- Not reside with an able-bodied individual
- Must provide proof of income for every individual in the home
