COVID-19 - Coronavirus Virus Information and Update

RECREATION CENTER BUILDING WITH "RECREATION CLOSED" WORDING

COVID19 - Coronavirus Virus Information and Update
from the Berea Recreation Department

Attention all Residents, Members and Program Participants,

Effective Thursday, March 12 at 9 p.m., the Berea Recreation Center will be closed indefinitely as a precaution due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) . All recreation center programs as well as all Active Senior Network programs will be suspended for an indefinite period of time. As more information is available, we will update you on the timeline to resume normal activities. This decision was made after careful consideration between the Recreation Department, the Active Senior Network and the Mayor’s office after considering the information presented by the Ohio Governor’s Office, Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the CDC and other local communities and recreation centers.

The Berea Community Outreach Pantry and Senior Wheels will remain OPEN at this time.

We will continue to monitor any new developments and will be responsive to guidance from Cuyahoga County Board of Health and the CDC.

Please visit the CDC website on prevention for more information at:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to get through this difficult situation.

Sincerely,
Marty Compton
Director of Recreation
