Online Permit Application
Effective May 3, 2021, online building permits applications are now available. You now have the ability to apply for “Residential” or “Non-Residential” permit applications. Once you have created an account and logged in, you can accomplish the following steps right from the comfort of your computer or device:
- Apply for permits (New Building, Alteration, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Miscellaneous, Etc. permits are currently available online.)
- Submit plans electronically
- Schedule inspections
- View the status of all projects
- Pay for permits and fees
We appreciate your patience as we roll out this new service to provide safety and convenience to our customers.

Note: You must use Google Chrome as your internet browser to apply, manage, and pay for permits online.
Community Connect is designed to make the process of applying, reviewing, obtaining a permit, scheduling and receiving inspections in City of Berea easier than ever.

Once you are added to the system you will receive an email from CommunityCore - Account Setup. Click on the link in the email to finish setting up your account. Then you will be ready to go!
Before you begin, please make sure that you have added to CommunityConnect as a Contractor by your jurisdiction or have self-registered as a Community Member. Building permit fees may paid via credit card (please note that online credit card payments will be assessed a % service fee), or checks may be mailed to:
