Our water plant depends on the distribution system to provide an uninterrupted supply of pressurized safe drinking water to all consumers. Distribution system mains carry water from the treatment plant to the consumer.
Our Distribution staff works from the Service Department in cooperation with the Water Plant. We replace and repair Fire Hydrants, Main Line Valves, Curb Stops, Water Breaks and will install short sections of water main when needed.
In the event of an emergency in which we need to shut off a watermain to repair, we will attempt to notify the affected customers by either utilizing Ready Notify, going door to door or leaving a yellow tag at your door. Questions regarding the repair and return to service can be directed to the water plant 24 hour staff.
ReadyNotify is an emergency notification system used by Cuyahoga County and participating municipalities to issue notifications to the public.

We will notify all affected customers if there is a boil advisory by leaving a notification (red door tag) and utilizing other means of notification as well such as the City web page, Facebook page, and phone or text alerts through this City website. We attempt to use repair methods that ensure water safety and minimize boil alerts.
