A public hearing will be held at 6:00pm in the Council Chamber on October 5, 2023, to discuss the Community Development Block Grant and Supplemental Block Grant proposals.

Duties

The City of Berea Planning Commission was established by the City Charter to consider zoning, planning and development issues within the City. 

Specifically, the Planning Commission reviews: 

  • Administrative appeals
  • Adoption of rules
  • Area variances
  • Conditional uses
  • Demolitions
  • Lot splits and consolidations;
  • Other administrative actions
  • Permanent signs
  • Records
  • Review of ordinances dealing with planning,
  • Rezoning and development
  • Site plans
  • Subdivision regulations
  • Widening of driveways
  • Zoning
  • Zoning code changes
