The former Lou Groza Recreational Complex was rededicated on June 27, 2015 as Jason Malone Park to honor a young baseball player who suddenly passed away there while awaiting his turn to bat. Jason Malone, 11, was a star pitcher for the Berea Baseball Association and one of the best power hitters in the league.
Jason Malone Park is home to three baseball fields, a batting cage, a playground recently renovated by the Cleveland Browns, a basketball court, walking paths and the Berea Kiwanis Pavilion.
